Its been 3 months and I still havent gotten my money back from them. I called them today and they told me " I dont know what to tell ya!".
Nineball, someone has got to do something about this company! Im not the only one on this board who is having problems with them either. I had a lady blow up at me because im demanding my $1,500 back. Give me a fucking break. :eyes:
They probably have the worst customer service I have ever done business with. I think they are crooks!
There a member of the Better Business Bureau so i would click on the link and call the number at the top of the site and complain about this company, BTW it looks as if they resolve complaints with the BBB so it shouldnt be hard to get your money back if they indeed are in the wrong!
Good Luck!

I ordered a tranny from them. The only reason I bought it was because I was promised I would have it in 6-7 business days. I gave them a month. Then I had to get something done on my car so I canceled my order. Its been two months since.

When you canceled your order were they already done with the tranny?
Ive delt with them on getting a few parts when i built my tranny the first time myself... and I know cablebandit has delt with him on his 4l80e for his fbody, no problems in either case, but we didnt cancel an order either, so idk.

did you pay with a credit card? you could allways file a dispute with credit card company. Regardless, if someone ever charges your card before you recieve the goods or the job is complete, file a dipute and don't pay until it's settled - you have that right.

so if the tranny wasnt shipped or completed... i dont see what the issue was in giving you a refund if everything you are saying is true.
Hope you get it figured out, good luck.

They seem to be having quite a few problems getting people their trans lately. Just look at all the post over at LS1Tech in the sponsor feedback section.

I know this doesn't help, but that's why I don't go with the "flavor of the month". Everyone was cheering about Rock-on and Fuddle, and now everybody is up shit's creek with them. FLT and Yank are the way to go....Period. It was only a matter of time before someone took it in the ass with these kinds of companies. I know, I know, Fuddle got sick, the dog ate my homework....etc. etc. As expensive as this shit is, and it is outrageous to mod a Gen III motor....It kills me when people get ripped off. Some of these vendors act like they are doing you the favor for even doing anything for ya.....that's bullshit. BTW, Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine if you used a credit card. Sorry for the rant.

Not a fan of Rock-On or Fuddle despite the fact, that I'm using both a Rock-On tranny, and a Fuddle converter. USE OTHER COMPANIES PEOPLE... Don't get trapt in the situations a lot of us are in!

I looked at Rock-On and read good things about them. Then I saw 1 then 2 then 3....not so good things. They are cheaper than FLT. I didn’t care. Reputation and length of time in business matter more than price. I have a FLT.
Fuddle, I have one. Works great. He had a good rep. Not 1 bad remark. Plus, he's a site sponsor. Recent events would cause me to buy somewhere else if I needed a converter now. Research....here, ls1tech and the other boards before you make a purchase of that size.
Hopefully they will do right by you and refund your money. They are already too late in my opinion to be considered reputable but, you should get your money back even if it’s late.

If you charged it- call the card company and ask for their fraudulent charge department. This same thing happened to me, with a month between my payment and then filing the fraudulent charge complaint (same reason, i told them i paid for a part and it had not shipped within the agreed upon time frame and that i wanted my money back- basically they took my money and i had no part - like you) the credit card company immediately refunded my money and said they would investigate andget back to me in 15 days. They contacted the "crook" and gave them 15 days to resolve the dispute, now with them. Not sure what happened but when the fraudulent charge department gave me my refund I never heard from them again.
I would try it.... it's worth a shot.
Good Luck

You forget that Yank sucked for a good long while before they got their shit back together. Their converters were coming apart and taking trannies with them. Now it appears they're on the road to recovery but it will take the a while longer before I would trust them again.

I don't remember that. I do remember some having issues with customer service, but not with converters coming apart. I'm sure every converter company out their has had a "bad" one in the bunch sooner or later, but it's about the numbers. I know Lingenfelter has been using Yank converters for years....longer than this site has even been around....with nothing negative to say. I think most of the issues with converters of any brand is the fact that whoever installed it didn't "push it in" all the way, and the pump gets burned out of the transmission. Truth be told, I bet that's about 90% of all problems people have with "new" converters.

Yank has certainly had some famous customer service issues, but they also had some serious QC issues for a while as well. As long as you bought an off-the-shelf converter you were okay, but any converter they tried to restall came out with problems. There are some people who are very well known on this board who have said they will never buy Yank again. And these are not install issues, these are acknowledged quality control issues I am talking about.

I've had two Yanks and two PI converters now and would buy either one of them again. A good while back there was some issues with the clutch material burning up in some of the higher stalled yanks but, it might have had something to do with the way the computer controlled the lockup also from what I read. I really haven't heard any complaints lately.
As far as transmissions, there is no way I'd go with anything but a FLT at this point. Chuck and the crew have proven they know how to build a transmission and just as important take care of the customer as well.
Just me personally, I don't see how Rock On is out the money they've put in the trans. It shouldn't be much of a problem to sell that transmission to someone else especially with the way the 4L60E's blow up all the time. :judge:
Rock on is a sponsor on Tech and you have a thread over there already so I'm going to lock this one.
