Well, finally dynoed my truck after the swap. I had a 4.8 in it, but swapped it for an LS1 with bolt-ons and cam.
Made 328 hp & 344 trq.
I'm happy with the results, just hopping I can run a 13.9 with it. Better would be nice, but that's what I'm hopping for N/A. Just thought I'd share.

RCSB with stock posi and 3.42's(plan to change). Right now it's got 20's on it. I hope I can get a 13 something on street tires, if not I'll have to get some slicks for the stockers though and maybe some spray, but I'd rather keep it N/A since it's my daily driver.

i don't see why not. might have to wait until it cools off a little bit. but 13's are very achievable with your current setup

Just got back from the track. Best I could do was a 14.2. Worst run was a 14.4. I'm thinking like you though, maybe in cooler weather it's achievable. It's low 90's to high 80's here at the moment. Two of those runs were before the sun went down, around 6:30 to 7:00.
I got to run 2 nice trucks tonite though, and lost to both :(
One was a SRT-10 RCSB, he ran 13.8(Good race till the 1/8, he was 9.3 to my 9.4 there.
The other was Lightning with a pulley, and probably not much else. He went 13.5 against me.
Both guys were cool though.

ya you can get it... im running that now with my 4.8... so a bolt on ls1 should do it :)
whats your 60 ft times on the worst and best runs?

good set up and #'s
something must be wrong though.
do you have a higher stall converter?
if so, with a set of et streets or d/r, your truck should be in the 12.90's

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
On the 4 passes I made last nite my best 60' was 2.1 and my worst was 2.2. The track was prepped great, cause NHRA was here last week. Traction wasn't an issue at all.
I've got the stock converter in it. I like it cause I don't spin at all. I had a TCI 3000 in it but it shuttered real bad when it went into overdrive going down the highway, so it went back to TCI and I decided to see how the stock converter would do.
I need some gears I'm sure, I've got the stock 3.42's in it. Not sure whether to go with 3.73's, 3.90's, or 4.10's. When I had it dynoed tuned the guys told me I need bigger injectors though. They said it was showing it was flowing 99%. It feels much better down low now, but a little weaker up top. I'm thinking maybe it's just not getting enough fuel at the big end.
Any suggestions on which injectors to go with? It's an LS1 with the truck manifold on it. Will the LS1 injectors from a Camaro work? If they'll flow enough for the Camaros I would imagine they'd be enough for me.

Truck intake=truck injectors
Try some 8.1L injectors or the 8.1L marine injectors

ah... so those times make sense...
those are my 60 ft times... 2.1-2.2, i have 4.10s, but you know more than anyone how laggy the 4.8l trucks are downlow (especially when you have an oversized cam and no stall, lol)
and ya, ive been looking for some 8.1l injectors as well... seems like the way to go for cheap, good luck with everything :)
