Does anybody make a 3000 rpm stall converter for late model Dodge Ram Trucks, that retains lock up? So far I have searched but have not found anyone yet. Trying to help a friend out.

Check with APS. I do believe they will have one soon, if not now.

when I called Yank before I posted this thread, I was told that you don't make one. Who should I talk to that knows about it? Seems as though the left hand is not talking to the right hand at Yank.

Who is APS, are they a sponsor here? Does anyone know a phone number that they can be reached at?

We make them, but you have to have a way to reprogram the system to make the converter work as designed.
if you do not have a way to program, we will not sell the converter as the trans will fail in a short time frame.

Program as using whos program, HP Tuners, or something else? That way I can check with transmission shop to see if they can do this.

Edge Racing converters is suposed to have one out at X-mas, there current one isn't bad, lock up rpm is based off of the torque you make, 330lb's is good for about a 2600-2800 stall, 400lbs to the tires would probably get you a 3000 stall in it, but the true 3000 stall would be better. I love mine, best mod yet. :)

I am thinking no one at the present time can program the PCM for the stall....

and HPTuners is still a ways out..... it is said the timeline for the release is winter but it is also said that the Ford support will be released first..... and not at this time.. don't hold your breath.... and even then, it is also said that 03s will not be included in the first release...

You may also check out Edge for a converter.... everyone I have talked to said 2800 is about the limit without having probs...
