Default Suburban Duramax/Allison

Yes I Would!
GM lost a lot of sales by not offering the duramax/allison in their suburban.
I pull a heavy camper and notice in the camp grounds an awful lot of Ford Excursions with the deisel engine pulling very large campers. A lot of people I speak with would have preferred a diesel suburban but GM, in their short sighted wisdom, chose not to offer their duramax diesel in the suburban/Yukon XL lineup. I have never found out why. Same goes for people that pull large horse trailers and boats. I have always thought this was a BIG mistake on GM's part. They have lost a large market share to the Ford Excursion/diesel alternative.
Maybe in the future...

Why not offer the D-max in the 1500 trucks like the ole 6.5's on the OBS trucks!

Or why not get a smaller diesel to run in the 1/2 ton trucks now for the next gen. trucks! They would get better milage than the gas trucks. I would think.

I miss the order what you want days! You could get a big block in anything or a diesel!

Heard a rumor that the idea of the diesel 'Burb is not dead. May be coming back.

Also heard that GM and Dodge are both (independantly) looking at a 4. or 5. something liter diesel for their 1/2 ton.

Just rumors, but the second one has me kinda jazzed.

I would have bought one so quick it would make your head spin. I mean the truck dudes get a built transmission and some bigger pipes, a tune and suddenly they are push 600-700 hp and 900-1000 ft-lbs of torque?? That is insanely sick.

For now, will bide my time and spend the money on gas. In time, can't wait to swap.
