With a 3.5" pulley making 6-7lbs at the top, 448rwhp. 440rwtq
Cam pulls to 6300 and peak torque at 3700
Driving it is a blast. Love the sound and pull. I have to launch from lights real careful or my tires just scream. :judge:

How much did you pick up BEFORE the Radix with just the cam? Those numbers are strong!

08-06-2006, 10:27 PM
Did the cam, Radix (why is it called that?) and level 5 flt transmission at the same time.
Previous cam was a synergy 224/224 .578 that had me at 339hp.

I forgot to ask how much Rick's tune made over the stock magnacharger tune but i'm sure it helped a bit :)
After the dyno we spent an hour or so on the street and he was able to add a couple degrees timing too.
Drivability is better than stock and way more enjoyable

Hey anytime Matt, all us NorCal folk need to meet at the track for a PT.net track day!
:eyes: Sshhh! As far as future plans, I'm cool for a few weeks but i'd probably go for a few more lbs of boost down the road. :)

Radix is latin for roots it is a roots style blower. Man its hard to believe you're makeing 6-7 lbs with that huge pulley. Anyway great #s keep up the good work. :thumb:

I've been taking baby steps with the 4wd. I haven't yet slammed it, got a few things to take care of first.

Finally an explanation!! I'm a little higher compression than the iron blocks, 9.9:1. 3.5" pulley, lots of room for a smaller one, huh? :eyes:
I was goofing off at work this morning and made a couple of 2wd passes on the dead end street. 1st pass was a steady increase in throttle from launch and at the 1-2 shift i left 15-20' (?) of my new tire on the street.
Second pass was a 30mph stomp, kicked down and stood up, burning tires at least 50' before i let off the gas (1-2 seconds), i wasn't expecting that. :eek2:
Needless to say, the guys at work who think i'm nuts for dropping so much $$ into a pick-up were the first ones who wanted to look under the hood with desire. :)

Suspension is fine. Truck is in shop getting wheels professionally restored thanks to the tire shop.....I want to tweak on the pinion angles a little better and hoop the DS. Then I'm ready to Stomp on it!! :eek2:
I would love to have it on video, but i dont have a digital video camera (except cell phone?) and not a clue how to post video, but i'm sure i could figure it out.
Anyone want to meet at the track in a few weeks-bring a video camera :jest:

Bought on a new rear end yolk as the old one was leaking. That is going in tomorrow.
Then I need to put a couple hundred miles on the gears to get them broken in. I got the first 100 miles of city driving on them, so now just a couple trips to my parents house in tracy and im good to go. ETA 1 week! lol
I also got a set of caltracs to help me out with the 2.2-3 60''s I get. I would be thrilled if I could pull a 12 out of my set up.
I bet you are in the low 13's because you are going to pull some crazy 60' times, maybe 1.7-1.8.

I dont know, hmm that will be saweet! I probably will have to do the whole run in 4wd though, I dont think it will go into two under such a load or so I've read. I'll have to get some practice launches in 4x4 here soon. Re shimming to 5* tomorrow to see if that helps/hinders. 4* almost has it.
Tell you what, 2wd launches are fuuuuuunnnnn! I can burn hit second, burn, and squak third!! Makes me giggle.
