This is the only time I've ever delt with him and it will be my last. All I needed was a fan harness. I called them up Tuesday. He said he would ship it out that day. I asked him when it would get here, because I really needed it, didn't know if I needed to pay for faster shipping. He said it takes 2 days...so it'll be there by friday at the latest. Well, while I'm waiting my other fan motor burns up, so I haven't had any fans, nor been able to drive my truck since Wed. night. I've got a spare replacement fan, but don't want to use the original POS flex-a-lite VSC or wiring. I tried calling him thursday and friday at different times throughout both days and could not get any answer. I was calling to make sure that it was sent out on Tuesday. So, it's 9:00 on Saturday night, no fan harness.

Im sure he sent them on the date he stated, Take into consideration that this company recieves loads of calls. Some of the shipping companys in the world are the ones at fault for the delayed shipments.
Best of luck to you and i hope everything works out.

Not bashing you or anything but Nelson performance is a VERY busy company. There are just two guys running the show over there and right now they are moving into their new shop.

When I got my fan harness from him he shipped ASAP, its possible the weekend could have held it up. I would have paid for overnight shipment if you needed it that bad and not taken a chance with regular ground.
I did have problems with some of his mail order tuning but in the end he does seem to be sincere and trys to help

I've heard nothing but good things, I know their busty. But, when I'm reassured I'm gonna get something by a certain time, I take people's word on it.

I have been dealing with Allen for years now, yes he is very busy but everytime I tell him I need something by a certain date it is here. If I really need something right away I just tell him to next day air it...... It seems kinda early to blast him with the weekend and all especially not knowing exactly what happened.

ahh maybe he needs to hire some more folks to help out so the "he's really busy" excuse doesnt come up?

I've tried that, read the first post. Calling long distance about 5-6 times each business day gets old quick, especially when I'm without a ride to work and everywhere else I need to go. This has been a major pain in the ass. So don't make me to look like the bad guy. I'm not bashing him personally, I'm sure he's a nice guy, just bad for business if you know what I mean. "He's busy, blah, blah." I'm sure everybody is and I'm not saying he's not. But don't tell somebody that a part is gonna arrive on a certain day, when its not.

All of the tuners are extremely busy, they cant just hire someone to tune for them. Yes this might ease the work load but then people will not be benifiting from there tunning knowledge that they are paying for rather they are getting some hire help. Like previously mentioned, you dont know why it is not there yet.......COULD be the shipping company like other have mentioned....

Well, come to find out the harness wasn't even mailed until aug.3 (thursday). I was told on aug.1(Tuesday) it would be mailed on that day and I would get it on Friday. They told me on the phone,"it should probably be there by the end of today or tomorrow." BAD Service. Won't be dealing with nelson performance anymore.

Just read this for what it's worth..http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/showthread.php?t=371524..read post #9. It sounds like things are a little crazy over there. I know it might not be a good excuse but if you have ever operated a business moving just sucks. His head probably going every which way and probably just flat ass forgot about you deal. Like I said I'm not trying to make an excuse for Allen but I can kinda see what happened. I'm sure he wants to make this right. Give him a chance!

I agree he should have informed you but SHIT happens and theres no way that i would think about not ordering from them again because his work is top notch. If every bussiness from the buyers perspective was given only one mistake think of how many bussinesses we would have. My point is, a huge majority of people just knock it off their shoulder and continue on. This is the only complaint i have seen from this company and im sure that your not the only person this has happened too.
Anyways glad ya got your stuff

He's looking, but his reputation is on the line, so he's not going to hire any idiot that walks in off the street. He could; but then you guys would be complaining that you called and some dumbass answered the phone who couldn't answer your question. He's just going through some growing pains of a young company.
I drove down there from KC, and spent a week with Allen & John because I didn't trust the local tuning shops. I went in a local shop to get my baseline dyno. They looked under the hood of my tahoe and asked who swapped in the LS1? I'm not letting a shop tune my motor if they can't even identify it. :judge:

screw allen...stick it to him...
j/k'ing:jest: . settle down.
I agree with ya hemi, shops should do what they say, and even more important don't lie about something shipping when it didn't. I think Allen's show is a small one, and he gets swamped alot of the time. People are very loyal to him because in the long run he takes care of them ultimately. I have had good luck with him in the past when I dealt with him. He is a stand up guy and I am certain moving his store really put the stress on just more than himself, his customers. Get him on the phone and tell him you are extremely displeased and are looking for some sort of fix on his end. To make things right. He'll come up with something I am sure.
