It depends on thr type of truck you have.
On your 99', you should have 2-upper balljoints, 2-lower balljoints, and 2 outer tie rod ends to grease.
You should also have one grease fitting on your driveshaft (in the middle) if you have a two piece driveshaft.

The front end of his truck isn't like the Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Vortec Max, or SS trucks or SUV's.
His truck has a rack and pinion type steering system.
The most he will have to grease in the front is 6 grease fittings. A two piece driveshaft will have a grease fitting in the middle making a total of 7 grease fittings.
The other vehicles listed above will have 11 grease fittings in the front.
Mine has a total of 12 grease fitting due to the one on the driveshaft.

I was able to reach 4 of the grease fittings. I wiped them off real good with a few paper towels and it was like the grease wasn't even going in. It was a good seal, I wonder if it was somehow clogged up or something.
BTW, where is the grease fitting on the split driveshaft? I looked and couldn't find anything.

If it's there it will be located in the middle at the slip joint where the two driveshaft sections meet close to the carrier bearing. It will be on the last driveshaft section, not the first one.
