Ok folks I am about to start a fully documented build up on my trailblazer. The goal is to put the trailblazer in the 11's in the quarter mile and retain stock-like driveablilty and tow capacity. The other major part of this endeavor is NO NOS. The goal is to be completely on motor. I am working with several vendors to help accomplish this task. I want to recognize Stainless Works,ADM performance, and Real Performance Motorsports for their help so far in getting the project rolling.
I have registered www.trailblazerbuildup.com to give updates on the build.
I should have everything up in the next couple weeks.

Just as a heads up I read your site and it said you pulled the fuse for the Stabilitrak.
On the shifter there is a small button. When you tap that once it turns the traction control off, if you push and hold the button in for 10-15 seconds it will also deactivate the Stabilitrak. No fuses to be pulled. ;)
I just took off the engine cover and realized that the fan isn't electric and is a mechanical fan... and the intake manifold is terrible! The engine doesn't even look like an LSX engine and it says Vortech.

A little advice for the above statement.. Dont get rid of that truck manifold unless you want to loose MAJOR torque and low RPM hp.. We tried a FAST 90/90 on ours and made little gains and it SUCKED on the street..

Interesting. However, it appears that these TBSS' are dynoing extremely low as it is... :(

They are dyno'ing so low because the stock tune is set to pull up to 12 degrees of timing with high IAT's. The trucks have a heat/tune power problem, not a power problem,

Well the first MOD to the trailblazer produced a 4 tenths improvement in the 1/8 mile in 12 degree warmer weather than the last time it was run. Deffinitely a worthwhile expense for the tune and intake. Just to put it in perspective...The last run it was 106 in the staging lanes and I lined up next to aussum gto which is a stock 05. He edged me out by .07. WRP has the video and he will probably post it sometime today.

They also have a fairly restrictive intake manifold and a mechanical fan as well. These "problems" with the tune are the same issues that affected the 2005 GTOs. Trust me, I had a GTO and it sucked ass without a tune.

I have had 2 GTO's, I know all about it. I am going to do an electric fan conversion and get the intake manifold opened up.

I know all about the button. THe stabilitrack was coming back on even after the stabilitrack off message came on the info center. It cam back on about 50mph every time.

Hrrmmm...I may have to try this where is the fuse located ??? Under hood or under back seat ??? And from the pages of Motor Trend this quote "Even with the button off, some of its control remains", says Heinricy, a representative of GM on the first test drive.

You'd be suprised at how well these intake manifolds flow.. We have several boosted trucks making well into the 600's with the stock manifold and throttle body.. Want a good example, look at Parish's truck, 1000 rwhp through the stock intake manifold..

Check out the site and there is a picture showing the fuse with a circle around it.

Updates to the site, dyno numbers are included now for the tune and intake. Great results especially in this heat. www.trailblazerbuildup.com
