well i took it to hpp racing in lewisville tx friday to get it dynoed. i thought they had the tuning software for my truck but come to find out they didnt. so all i could do was make 3 pulls and they couldnt adjust anything for me. ive got the dyno sheet but i dont know how to get it in this thread ive never posted a picture before. i have a scanner but how do i get it on here?

here it is. my question is why would my af ratio drop like that. it did it on both runs. the tuner guy from hpp said that if it was right then it would make 20-30rwhp just by getting the af right. comments are welcome.
I'm surprised that the Patrick G cam lost power that soon... although if you can get it on a dyno with tuning capabilities I'm sure you'd have much better results.

Is that AFR right?! It would explain powerloss quickly.

Was COT turned off?

Pat has the 224/228 .637/.639 110LSA cam, same duration as KboboZ71 but more lift and tighter LSA

Is this a 5.3L?

COT is Cat Overtemp Protection, it dumps extra fuel in to help protect the cats from overheating and/or melting. I had this happen to me while dyno tuning once.

Nice numbers, is that a dynojet or mustang?
Im assuming that is a 5.3

yes it is a 5.3. all mods are in sig. and i dont know if cot was on or not. ill have to give them a call and see. this was with cutouts open, and they are directly behind the headers so it tries to run rich with them open. and this was a dynojet.

anyone have any idea why af was that rich, and if it really was that rich wouldnt it have been black smoking?

the air/fuel was really lean through the middle

Nope, it was very, very rich. Will definatley pick up some power with a good tune.

That's why I asked, 10:1?!?!! WOW!

depends on each application but generally the word is 13 to 13.3 is a pretty solid n/a afr. I say if you are seeing 13.5, you are pushing the envelope of to lean. 10:1 is losing a shit load of power though.

yeah i know, but it still runs great. i took the plugs out yesterday and they looked fine. a couple had a slight copper color on the ceramic around the electode though. what does that indicate? and this was just on a couple, on one side of the block, the others looked good. could it be that its just running rich under wot?

no no, the numbers look pretty decent, that is again why I asked if that AFR is right. Seems it would do alot better with a leaner scenario, however your #'s seem to tell a different story. Don't get me wrong, it obviously by dyno #'s looks like it runs good.
You are looking for a grey to a very light golden brown. Golden brown can be seen as copper I guess.
