i just went outside to install a 160 thermostat in my 07 5.3 Tahoe it looked like the 05 thermostat would work well after i removed the stock one its like ONE freaking mm larger than the 04-06 thermostat..anyone know where i can find a 160 for the new 5.3

You might have to wait until January for an answer, or for venders to start releasing performance mod for the 07.

Is this a new engine?

i think they are the same except the waterpump has a larger thermostat :judge: the air intake and Throttle body look bigger everything else looks just like my 05 truck

I think you have the new DOD in that Tahoe......

OH yeh almost forgot it has DOD
