ok i got the coilovers today and slammed them in. at first i just took the djm lower mount out (which drops the truck 2 inches) and put in the coilovers. This will drop a stock trailblazer ss 2wd and awd about 1.5 inches over stock.
then i put the djm mount back in and its slammed. they are 15 way adjustable and handle great even though my tires are hitting the fenderwells.
ON A STOCK SSR THESE COILOVERS WILL LOWER from 0-2.5 inches
if you have any questions pm me.
Wow, that is low. It looks great, but does it rub yet?

its stiffer and have rhe adjustable setting at 8. 15 would be the highest. also you can adjust under the spring by tightening which makes it even stiffer. today I'm going to lift the front 1 inch and then start messing with thw spring rate setting

only thing that pisses me off is that rear fenders arent wider. i wanted to fit a 22x10.5 rear with 305 35 22 but if you lower it wont happen.
other than that i like everything about it. Fun truck and with a few mods looks a lot nicer.
the one thing that ive heard is that there are a lot of trucks with awd having probs. i had 2 customers that their stock trannys went out on their awd trucks in less than 5k miles. there are a few people on trailblazerss.com that have the same prob.
i have yet to see a 2wd truck with a blown tranny especally on a stock truck. i chose 2wd cause its proven to be faster and put more power down than the awd trucks.

TBSS - If you move the rear shocks inboard of the frame you can fit almost 2" wider in the rear wheel wells.

do you happen to know what rear gear they come stock with, and im sure you can change them out cant you?
i was planning on gettin a awd for traction problems cause ive heard you get traction problems with high horsepower... not that id know with a 4.3 :eyes:
but if the trannys are takin a :turd: then i wont get it cause i wont stay stock for long

Looks pretty good... just a bit to low for my taste.. but it looks clean.
And, are there any links about the AWD setup on the TBSS? I don't want any broken parts :(

The gear is 4.10 in a TBSS.
With the stock wheels and tires it doesn't look very good that low. The tires tuck in too far. It just makes the tires look small.

another update july 2 06
Ok well in front pretty much spring rate is fine if you want a stiffer rate be my guest. adjustments are made at the bottom of the coilover where it mounts to the strut. you just turn it clockwise to lower counter clockwise to lift. takes 5 minutes at most.
trust me with the spring rate it comes with if you want it stiffer its very easy you just crank down on the upper ring.
HERE IS A PIC I TOOK TODAY.
Front from ground to fenderwell lip is 29 5/8 and rear from grond to fenderlip is 31 inhes.
here is a truck a guy just bought of the dealers lot. he will be coming to me on wed to install a djm drop kit on his ss. As you can see a stock SS is much much higher.
