ok so im new to this tuneing thing, I've scanned through the forums learning all about mail orders and hand helds and programs like hp tuning, the mail orders like nelson and such and such, i understand that with the handhelds you just plug and play , but with the mail orders such as the nelson tune wich i beleive im going to get what in all do you have to do? do you have to take ur pcm out and send it to him or does he send you a hand held programmer with the program he has set for you? im a lil overwhelemed by the tuning so i just need someone to help me out, and do you have to replace the thermostat like with the hypertech? and if you have to take the pcm out how hard is it to do? thank you very much in advance and i have a 1999 Chevy silverado 5.3 with a couple mods, exhaust intake and such

thanx

go to nelsonperformance.com and fill out a tune request. dont forget to tell him that you want a 01-02 pcm. he will send you a totally new pcm that will plug right up. might as well throw away your 99 pcm cuz its not in demand at all. if your close to san antonio you might as well go to his shop for a live tune. he can always make your tune stronger when he's tuning it in person.

Seeing you are in Stafford I would drive to San Antonio and have Allen tune it live.Does not get any better than that. His tunes are the best.
