I damn near fell on the floor when they tried to pass the Ram off as a 13 second truck! :rotflmao:
I couldn't sit there and watch it (one of my kids is only five), but I did here one say there's no such thing as a streetable 10 second diesel. I can't believe that either ... Especailly, a scsb with only one (racing) seat. There was a Ford 4X4 crew cab at Moroso a few months ago which ran 11.5xx, and he drove it home.
I like the ram though ... scotta be fun! :thumb:

That diesel was fast, no doubt. He's very lucky however that the ugly S10 ran out of bottle, that dude was sandbagging his ass off when it came to saying he brought a knife to a gunfight, it wasn't a 13 sec truck either. Those trucks were actually pretty well matched IMO. :judge:

I definently agree with that. The no2 made a huge difference on the S10 and on the cummins for that matter. I am sure that the dodge probably runs low elevens but what said was that there is not such thing as a common rail diesel running 10's. What ever that means.

Anyone know where the episode can be found on the interweb?

I believe there is a diesel out there that can run 10s on regular radials. He wasn't using FWD (unless he reinstalled the front shaft while I wasn't watching, which is possible), so I'd say it could run in the 10s.
My truck has only run a best of 12.4 on motor. With the nitrous it can run 10s (10.88 best ONE TIME pass), so I new there would be a nice difference when the S-10 sprayed. I'd say, the S-10 had more than the 150 jetting, he claimed. :suspiciou It woudn't be the first time someone lied about that.
BTW ... That's not the first time I've seen someone run out of nitrous on that show. How the hell could they let that happen? :bang:
If I'm putting my title on the line (which I won't!), that aint happenin'!

i would have atleast 3 15lbs and changed them out constantly and heat the hell out of it with a torch.... but that diesel was real fast.

Never mind I saw it on TV.

How can you make sure you have bottle pressure before racing for you PINK SLIP :bang:

I saw an episode where a guy in a Galaxy raced a kid in a early fox body and the kid in the fox body forgot to open his bottle :nono:

I saw an episode where a guy in a Galaxy raced a kid in a early fox body and the kid in the fox body forgot to open his bottle :nono: The same car ran out of spray and lost the race (and the car). That's just ridiculous!
I can get at least 3 passes on one bottle spraying a 250 shot. Oh ... And ... DUH! I have 2 bottles! Those guys are running out in less than 5 passes, while claiming to be spraying only a 150 shot AND sand bagging?!? :disgust:
There's no excuse!

I saw my buddy Matt Snow from Snowperformance on the Bullydog team. I drove to his shop earlier in the day and then then saw him on Pinks later that night. Small world

That diesel could outrun that s10 all day long. The best part was when the guys in the Bully Dog diesel were adding water to the radiator when the engine was not running, that was classic. Also they were talking about have problems with traction, :turd: if you run offroad tires at the drag strip you are going to have a traction problem.

Also I believe the Bully Dog Diesel also had 3 turbos, by what I understand.

Here (http://http://www.bullydog.com/index.php?customernumber=74371038924&pr=Pinks_1) is the article.

On the last race the Bully Dog Diesel was running on 345 shot of NOS and ran 11.2 sec WTF. (is by the article)

Jesus. That was not a very "fair" race to say the least. How could that truck have been running 3 turbos?

I heard them say they were running 3 power adders, not 3 turbos. There were two turbos and N20. To me that still doesn't constitute 3 power adders though. If they had propane or something then I would say they have 3 power adders. :)

That guy was a moron who said they had 3 power adders. You can have 4 turbos its still considered 1 power adder.

Exactly!

I saw this episode again this morning and it was a lot more stupid this time around than last. First of all if the diesel has 3 power adders (twin turbos, NOS, propane) and the S10 only had 1 (NOS), what the hell was the S10 guying thinking. I love rigged races they are absolutely stupid, and the negotiating is complete BS. If you are running for pinks it should be a straight up 1/4 mile drag race, no giving the competitor car lengths.

What is the deal with not using the tree and all the equipment at the track? A person can always say he jumped the signal and never have a fair race.

Here is specs for each vehicle. (http://www.pinks.tv/racers.php)

The Bully Dog Truck:
850hp
dual turbos @ 62 lbs. of boost
345 shot NOS (read the article in my previous post)

The S10
350 small block 300hp
150 shot of NOS

This was never a race in the begin, unless the driver from Bully Dog can not drive.
