I knew that I would see good gain, but after a good tune, I didn't think I would see a 70 hp gain.....

There had to be some other mods since your baseline........

Magna Flow cats and Cat Back? 70rwhp from just a cam swap would be awsome....But there MUST be something else going on?????? Did you add nitrous and not tell anyone? :jest:

you're right, I forgot the baseline was before the Magnaflow. Those dyno'd at a gain of 9 hp. so with 340 as a base the cam netted me 65 hp. Now if I could just figure out how mush Crash's farts added...

If you bypass your early model supplement like i did you should be good for another 25hp :jest:

Great #'s BTW. The best #'s i got on pump gas was 441 with a ton of bolt on's and lot's of boost :(

The gt2-3 was a great choice for me (Brian got me thinking on it :thumb:). I gained 4 mph in the 1/4 with a true dual exhaust system, gt2-3 cam, and tune. And this was also going from a 60e to an 80e!

I need to get it dynoed to see what I gained. At 104.5mph in the 1/4, the calculator shows 470rwhp. I think that is way high, but I may have somewhere around 440-450rwhp.

How do you like the GT2-3, I think I'm going to install one in my 6.0L that I just purchased. I heard they were great cams for forced induction, how do yall think the Procharger will do with the cam and Procharger.

I have a GT2-3 on my kitchen table waiting to go in. :D
It might be another month or so before I can get it in.

That's an awesome gain! I would chalk a lot of that up to the tuner though. I've never seen it, but I be that cam would do quite well with a turbo too. :D I might have to look into this. :secret2:

I have a feeling that cam would do great in any FI application. One thing to remember though, my 01 is a best case scenario. the newer 05's and such have a better cam to start with, so the gain may not be so radical. But as far as my gain goes, my truck was optimally tuned before, so my gain can only be blamed on the cam, not the tune. Oh, and the fact that it let me make power over 1000 rpm over stock didn't hurt..

I wonder how it would do in a N/A set-up...

Do you think the GT2-3 will be the most bang for the buck or is there another great blwoer cam out there. I wish I could have one with a lil lope, but when it comes down to the end I want the baddest blower cam out there. I've heard alot of good things about the GT2-3, but just want to know if there might be something with lil more bite.

look around and I am sure you will find a dozen cams that fit the bill, however, the GT2-3 is a proven cam. If you are looking for a little lope, definitely not the cam for you though. Hell, mine idles better than stock
