Hey guys how many ppl do we have from Minnesota on here? I was thinking of buying hp-tuners of efi-live, if any of you would like a tune or what not maybe we could work something out. Im going to buy the gmc 99 year license and if you guys want a tune or something i could get other license? well anyway just wanted to see if ppl would be intrested on going in to the tuner together or what not it would be alot cheaper!

I tuned my own truck, it was very fun and rewarding. joehawk, if you need a tune I can help you out. If you want a dyno tune I would refer you to either TPIS in chaska or HITECH in Anoka. Both have great tuners on board. Please, whatever you do, DO NOT go to Doug Rippie Motorsports in Buffalo. If I find out you do, I will come find you and :judge: you over the head!

I know Rippie messed your truck up, but Brian at HiTech..I wouldn't recommend going there. I'm not knocking them but I wouldn't use them. KA Boom :judge:

Anyplace has to better than DRM. I've never used HITech but I've heard a lot of good things about them. In my opinion the best tune anyone will ever get is the one that they're willing to do themselves and invest a lot of time in. I've done handheld tunes, mail order tunes, dyno tunes, and then my own personal tune. After learning what to do and see how what interacts with what, my truck has never run stronger than it has now. And I'm still working on tweaking it here and there. Hey, BTW, when are we making our wagner's run over in brooklyn park? I want to have a closer look at that turbo'd 408 :) Just when I got my 4.8 dialed in, I am looking at building a 408 ;) I will stay N/A of course :)

I'm pretty sure im going to buy hp-tuners but its alot of money... grrrrrr And im totaly in the dark on tuning! I'm sure i can figure it out. right now i have to figure out how to get my pcm tuned on to e-fans, i wonder if hi-tech would do it for cheap. i mean i wouldnt need any dyno time...
