Default Truck is finally running right!!!!!

Have had the side mount installed in my truck for almost two months now and I have finally been able to drive it with out running into problems. I was using a stock Magnacharger tune and I got a lot of trouble codes. I "fixed" alot of things that may have been wrong and got it down to just one code. It was the front 02s. They said the truck was running lean. Had a friend do some logging for me and he said that everything looked kinda weird. He recommended I find another tune. I contacted Jesse Bubb and he set me up with a mail order tune. Problem solved!!! Truck runs smooth, powerful and no codes. So I think Magnacharger sent me a bad tune. I have this feeling that they may have sent me a Radix tune. I found a certificate in the tuner box that said "CARB certifried: Radix supercharger" It was a sticker that I suppose you put on the vehicle. Ok before I send the tuner back to Magnacharger is there anyway I can tell that is the wrong tune for the truck? What do you guys think I should do? The Magnacharger tuner cost 300 bucks and all it did was cause alot of headaches.

Glad you finally got it running right. How does it feel when you get on it now?

Call Magnuson, explain what you think happened. They will most likely ask you to return the tuner. They will check it and if it's the Radix tune I'd imagine they will do something for you. I believe they order the tunes from another company so they might not give you the $300 back. They may just offer to send you the correct tune. Since you have already paid for a JB tune it may not really matter. But call and find out.

Glad its running good for you now. Go play

Thanks guys! The power feels real good now. I have a friend with an 04 CC 5.3 and another with a 99 ls1 camero M6 and they both said that it pulled real good. I am pretty happy with it. I think I may get a shift kit next. The downshift from 4th to 2nd is kinda wierd. It revs up a little then catches. It goes about 750 rpms higher. Hmmmm...

Be careful with the 4-2 downshifts. That will eat your clutches up fast.
