Big time bust on these guys. They had cops on foot hiding in the trees with cameras. They shut down the highway once the cops started coming the wrong way down I-564 doing a rolling road block.

I work in side gate 3 just off 564, I don't feel sorry for them how stupid could they be in thinking they could get away with racing next to a Navy base did they think the MAA's and base police didn't notice them from inside the fence, And that they and the state police weren't gonna do anything about it. I got 2 words to say "Damn Ricers"

9 cars taken and 75 tickets issued. The passengers in the cars got charged with aiding and abetting.

Sorry to butt in on yalls thread but in the article it said that they lose their cars...How do their cars get taken away? Isnt that personal property? Do they receive any payment or insurance for it. If not...THAT SUX. It should teach those idiots that there is a time and a place for that nonsense. :judge:

They were charged with organized street racing. Some of those guys have lawyers and they are being told they will not get their cars back. Sucks for them cause they still have to make the payments. Most states have laws like these for various things. Dealing drugs out of your car can get it taken also.

Yep, if you are comminting a crime using your vehicle it is considered contraband. And can be seized. Sux for them though, cause their finance company doesnt care who has posession of the car, but the buyer is still responsible for the payment. :bang:
Sounds like a bunch of rice that needs to be off the road anyway, but I dont think its right to take a mans car.

Street Racing- your next race could be a race for PINKS.
But everyone will still do it, including myself. I always go to the street races, I rarely race because no one will race a truck, they all seriously think it is so much faster than their cars :jest: My truck is slow.
i tried getting this one kid in an accord who kept trying to race ppl for $$$(and won $50 against a civic) to run me and he looked over at my truck and said are you kidding? no way man that has a shitload more power than my car. He was right lol. When he raced the civic I got it behind him and ran with him....at less than 3/4 throttle...lol I had to let off everytime he shifted. sorry :offtopic:
