I know this is a chevy site , and I have a chevy, but I'm selling it to buy a ford. The only discussion I have seen is about magna charging this, and 5.3L that. Come on people where are you? FORD FORD FORD!!!!

FORD FORD FORD!!!!

Well it should say Ford, Dodge and Chevy! anything can go fast. Speed is relative to how deep your pockets are!........so how fast do you want to go??

Like he said....working...either school, job, or on my truck. Waiting on my chip to come back from my tuner. Did a little reworking on my supercharger intake duct. Got a free piece of 4" stainless steel exhaust tubing to replace the PVC coupler I have been using...

Hell yeah bro. Btwn all the slappin and tappin mines been doing lately, I'd be tempted to think someone pulled a fast one on me and dropped in a Chebby motor when I wasn't lookin, lol. :judge: :jest:

Not really tho. Mod season at the moment. I gotta get my roomies SBC Sonoma done so I can start putting everything on mine. Dyno day next month. Gotta get ready.

Turbos are the bomb! I was looking through the latest hot rod and car-craft magazines, and people are going turbo crazy these days. There are some radical turbo rides out there now and it seems like all the super fast guys at my local track are all running turbos or centrifical superchargers on their small block fords. I would REALLY REALLY REALLY like to build a 514 with a big turbo, and stick it in a 67-79 stepside f-100 0r f-150, but I can't find the truck and lack the turbine know how. I still haven't seen a carb'd turbo motor in this area unless it was in a magazine.

AWESOME comeback there cree. Putting a chevy motor in a ford and vise versa is a MAJOR slam around my area. That kinda stuff gets people beat up around here. Just kidding! Still, that's a pretty mad move. Even if it's a chevy small block in a 32' ford coupe. Blasphomy in my eyes.

I have found that I am working on my ranger project a lot and still haven't got that much done. Perfection takes time i guess.

Ahh I think I'll pass, thanks for the offer though man. I was just messing with you guys, I don't see a fast Chevy being any better than a fast Ford. :thumb:

That's right. It doesn't matter what you drive if you love going fast. The 2nd truck I owned was an 87 S-dime with a nearly stock 305 in it. I had it when I was 17 and I thought I was the baddest mo fo around because I was toasting my buddies rice burners and 5.0 mustangs. I thought it was the fastest thing on wheels, going from an 18 second ranger to a 14 second s-10. Then I raced a guy with a 91 essy with and majorly built 355 and got smoked by about 11 car lenghts. I later found out that was an 11 second truck and I needed to shut my mouth and get a better motor. Wow! very young and very cocky. Those were the days.

I used to have a full bolt on 98 Sonoma(X-cab), with the 4.3L and Auto. Rolling out one night, and see a lowered std cab S10, and hit him up. He follows, and proceeds to blow the doors clean off my truck. He had a 350rwhp LT1 V8, and 6-speed. check out www.v8sonoma.com. Im glad i got my L, i couldnt be any happier.

Fast is Fast. My girls Trans Am WS.6 M6 hauls ass, for being near stock.(8.4 in the 8th)
