What would you guys do. I have a new 06 truck coming soon.My plans are to tune it for now, after a short while i will add a GT2-3 cam and then shortly there after I will ad my radix,my radix came without tuning. Now I do have a LS1 cable with 1 un-used tune,i would have to ship it back and they will make it work for my 06 for the cost of $100,should i do that or another type of tuning?I am not a tuner and will need a lot of help in order to learn. thanks

I've used most of what's out there EFI Live/Flashscan, HP Tuners, LS1 Edit, and Tunercat. LS1 Edit was the least user freindly and seemed the most out of date, but many have went damn fast using this software. I consider this to be just like using Windows DOS. HP Tuners has been the most solid and most user freindly that I've used and included it's own scanning software. I consider HP Tuners to be the AOL of tuning software. EFI Live/Flashscan was fairly user friendly and also comes with it's own scanning software. If i recall there are a few more options with this than most of the available tuning software available. I consider this to be the Windows XP of softwares. Tunercat is your cheapest option that I know of and doesn't come with it's own scanning software. They are working on some scanning software, but only beta testing that in know of. This works very well and is constantly updated, but often has communication issue's on certain vehicles. There is alot of tuning ability here, but it's not much of a beginner's software. This is your Windows 2000 professional kind of software.

I really like EFI Live -- awesome power and control, plus a lot of bells and whistles. HPT is also great software but I hated the upgrade policy.
I wouldn't want to keep Edit -- there are just too many 'extra' tables that make everything easier in the newer programs.
