I have a chevy 04 1500 I'm going to buy a lift and the two choices I have picked are pro comp 6" drop down or the superlift fit kit I have seen both and on the pro comp kit I like that the cv are straight but do not like the way the torsion bars look droped down On the superlift kit my only concern is every kit I have seen the cv's are at a pretty steep angle and that is what I dont want because I have that know with my ford keys cranked up. Any input on either kit would help THanks

Im personally really partial to RCD lift kits, never heard anything bad about them, chances are your never going to get the cv angles right unless you drop the front diff some, but as far as the torsion bar drop brackets theres a way around that. Look at this site http://www.rockkrawler.com they make coil over kits for our trucks, very bad ass stuff.

confused when you say the drop of the t-bars on teh FIT kit, if you measure the drop from the frame on both lifts, they will match.
The pro comp is a good kit for the NBS and the FIT kit is gaining traction as it is still new to the market but is a great kit as well.
One thing to mention, the Pro comp is a complete 6 inch drop where the FIT is 5 inches and gets teh additional lift with new knuckles.

The fabtech is a nice kit, and I'll throw the Rough Country 6" X series (non torsion bar drop) in the mix. No problems from mine so far.

If you don't like the t-bars hanging down, then you'll love the new rough country kit, leaves the t-bars in factory location. Here's a pic of mine

The rockkrawler kit completly removes the torsion bar style suspension and replaces it with a coil over.

I didn't even click that link, but that would be pretty killer. Kinda like Fabtech's coilover set-up, except they only make it for 2500's.

The price of that kit is what hard to stomach. It was listed on their site about a month ago for 5 grand.

How are your cv angles and also did you get the ex or the x kit Thanks for the info

Mine is the X kit and my cv angles were damn near straight until I installed the t-bar keys and they still aren't bad. I think they'd survive off-road just fine, but I never go off road so....

Mine rides just like a stocker. I haven't cranked the keys, stock it had 4 threads showing and now it has 5-1/2 showing. I love it, just riding in it you don't realize its lifted except I could use a lil longer shock on the rear.

hey twotone it says in the description of the rough country x-series lift that you have to modify the front differential... what does that entail? cutting out some of the support webbing?
