Post need help with engine light from tune

howdy,
my names travis. i live in houston texas and this summer i got a tune for my 05 chevy silverado. it put the engine light on and i dont know how to get it off. one of my freinds id really in to cars and he counldn't get it of and im runing out of options. please respond back to help me fix this problem.

Sounds like you need a crank relearn. What kind of tune? Do you have a way to read the code for the check engine light?

Did you get a crankcase relearn done? Who did you get the tune from? Did you send them your factory PCM or did they send you a whole new one? Need more info to help you better. If you didn't get the relearn done, start there first.

if you got it right after the tune, then it is probably a relearn, if you are in houston, send me a pm and I'll give you a phone # of a guy thats does that...

Like said above, you probly need a crank relearn, I got mine for free b/c I know a guy at the dealership, but Ive heard guys on here getting it done anywhere from $20-$50.
It only takes about 2 minutes for them to do. Just go to the dealership and tell them you need a crankshaft position relearn done on your Custom PCM. Make sure they DO NOT reflash it b/c you will loose the tune.
