Typically they will not work on multiple trucks at the same time, just one vehicle at a time.

You need a laptop. You get to pick 2 different year vehicles.
It can be used on all same vehicles years you picked.
Post there and you get lots of help.

I use my HPTuners on multiple trucks at the same time all of the time. I may be misunderstanding your post.

You get to use it on several vehicles, as long as they are the same make and year. Either pick one type of vehicle a friend has, and share the expense with him, or choose a vehicle that is in your future as the 2nd choice.

Whats the startup costs for the software and where can I get it? Does it come with an OBDII plug? I would really like to start tuning my own truck, but looking to find the basics on getting set up.

It comes with everything needed except a laptop. Mine was 499.00, I think. Very nice setup. 2 vehicles with unlimited tuning....very nice.

www.hptuners.com and there is also www.efilive.com

Some swear by one. Some swear by the other. A search here will give you more information than you will ever want to know

I don't know anything about either. I'm on the fence trying to decide which if any I want.
