I understand that "props" means congratulations etc but props is not a word and I gotta wonder what word props is based on. It looks like props is an abbreviation for something or other but what?

It's an abbreviation for "proper respect".

Are you making that up... well... nevermind. If you are making it up it works and works for me. Proper respect. I think that fits every situation where I've seen props used. I suspect we are seeing the evolution of a new word.
Thanks for setting me straight.

Haha, nah I'm not making it up. I guess the abbreviation isn't too bad, I don't think "Big proper respect to Toyota" would've sounded right. :jest:

Well shoot. Starting over again. Maybe somewhere there is someone who will know the root of that word. :D
Tan327... I went to google, found a Synonym finder, entered props, and it turns out that it does mean "proper respect"! Exactly those words!!. Then it adds that synonyms for props would be respect or deference. Now we know!

Not sure, but whatever stock is. He raced a x-runner the other night on the street w/ full exhaust, cold air, and drag radials, he said (x runner) ran 14.8 at the track and he beat him by a truck to 90. Might tell my friend to check those forums out, thanks.

Was it black? Yeah, you wouldn't belive it unless you saw it, cause I didn't at first. It amazing how many ppl ask him if he has a shot on it.
I guess it's because it weighs about 3950 raceweight and about 200? at the wheels and the 5 speed auto which they say is quicker than the 6-speeds in the x-runners. Take all those factor and you got a quick little taco. It sure does surprise a lot of people that's for sure

Looking at the numbers does not always give the correct answer but the x-runner has a p/w of 15.06
x-runner-------------------(3690/245=15.06)
Dbl-cab--------------------(3865/245=15.77)
tundra---------------------(4275/271=15.77)
frontier---------------------(4139/265=15.61)
f-150----------------------(4840/300=16.01)
r/cab hemi-----------------(4730/345=13.71)
r/cab silverado-------------(4211/295=14.27)
r/cab sportside-------------(4086/295=13.85)
ss/silver--------------------(4947/345=14.03)
v-max----------------------(4760/345=13.79)
titan-----------------------(4905/317=15.47)
These numbers are just a base to go by but me thinks toyo and nissan is either under stating hp, the tranny is very efficient or both.
