Default bullet muffler length???

what size should i get.
I have a stock y pipe with cats on a blown 5.3L

here are my options.

In/Out: 3''
Overall Length: 23-1/2''

or

In/Out: 3''
Overall Length: 16-1/2''

im thinkin the longer one because i would asume it would reduce rasp a little better than the shorter.

The larger the muffler the less rasp you will have like you said I would get the longer one since you want less rasp.

I have the short one. Im currently running factory manifolds and stock y with cats and the bullet with a turndown. Its perfect IMO with cats but without, it would be a little too loud and raspy.

do what ever fits best, but the 23-1/2'' would sound the best i think.

I also had the 16" bullet on mine. 3" in 3" and then Y straight out the back. It sounded awesome with the cats but, when I took off the cats it sounded like ****! I cackled sooo bad!
