Thanks for the props. It's a lowering kit from X-Metal Engineering. They call it a 1/2" drop but it's more like a 2/3". Handles awesome now. I have more appearance mods coming just trying to budget a little. :bang:
Here's another one with the wheels armorall'd.

Mostly low to mid 13's. A good driver with alot of practice could prolly get one into the high 12's stock. A few guys have gone 12.7 to 12.8s with CAI and exhaust. :drive:

I would guess the same, low to mid 13's. I don't think a stock RC could get into the 12's IMO. I raced a stock RC when I had the stage 2 and I way killed him. Those were the same mods that I had when I got the 12.7. Maybe a professional driver could get into the 12's with a stock RC, but I think it would be very hard to do.

One of the major auto mags (dont' recall which) test drove a new RC on an east coast track (usually faster) and ran a 12.9 BONE STOCK, so it can definitely be done. :drive:

OK I should rephrase my response. I know it can be done. But I wonder how many tries it took for them to get it into the 12's. And with a proffesional driver. I think the average driver is not going to take a stock RC and get it into the 12's unless they get a lot of practice. Which is what you said.

Yeah, I think we are saying basically the same thing here. :judge:

Although I don't think it would take a professional driver to do it, I think I could do it myself with some commonly used track mods.

We are also talking about stock on street tires. By the look of your mods it would no doubt be a drivers race.

Do NOT try to race them from a roll, with a 100mph trap speed, you'll get decimated, and let off around 90 or so max in a dead stop race.

And if they have any kind of sticky tires, don't try, and if they have stock tires and are really good drivers.

This is all considering bone stock Ram. :)

Not trying to start an arguement here, i was just really surprised that a rcsb truck with a viper motor only runs mid to low 13's. i was not talkin shit on those trucks by any means.

also remember, my truck weighs about 1000+ lbs more than a SRT10 so yeah, it would be a good race. and the 100mph trap speed was before the headers, smaller pulley, and shift kit. plus i had my heavy ass sub box under my back seat and didn't take off my spare tire.

i'm not afraid to lose, just ask wkdivr,....i'll race anybody anytime, its all just for fun anyway.

I didn't take any offense Bro. :D

Just wondering if you were near St. Louie so we could line 'em up and let whatever happens, happen. :drive: I am like you, just in it for the fun of the run no matter how it turns out. :usa:

I'm not bone stock anymore anyhow, so it won't be mid 13's next time out to the track. :engarde:

Well, if they have traction they can run as quick as 12.7, and theyr run over 105mph.

Also, I don't think a Silcy SS weighs over 6200lb does it???

FlyingLow

With minor mods I ran 12.7 @ 108 on street tires. Race weight 5350 lbs (there was a scale there). By minor mods I mean intake, exhaust and PCM flash. Spare tire and tail gate removed.

excellent idea. I may eventually do the handles and mirrors in silver.

next upgrades are CAI and high flow cats, then shaving some of the badges.

I am going to take the Ram and Dodge lettering off the doors and tailgate.
I like the Viper head emblems in place of the lettering. I like the 06 badges, but not as well as the Viper head. Prolly go with that.

Hopefully they're stick on and stick on only. I was gonna debadge my L. Let's just say after I got the pass side fender emblem off, I wished I hadn't, lol.

Yeah that would suck.

These are supposed to be stick on and pretty easy to get off. I hope so.
Only hold up right now is the Viperheads are so damn expensive at about $80 each (I need 3). :bang:

Yea, those SRT-10's sent the Ford Lightning planners back to the drawing board and they never emerged. Just flat gave up.
Wish Damiler Chrysler would make available the SRT-10 drivetrain for the RCSB 5.7 HEMI. Believe stock numbers would be low 14's to high 13's at around 100 mph. Shave another .5 sec with the 6.1 (425 hp) HEMI.
And now there is talk of a V-10 HEMI to replace the Viper/SRT-10 motor.

I've heard that too... I've also heard Dodge will be bringing an answer for the Z06, I just think it's funny that it won't be a V8.
