I'm looking to get a new Duramax LBZ, I know nobody really has any mods for that engine other than the intake and exhaust kits. Who has the best mods for the Dmax engines? I've heard from more than a few people to stay away from Banks. The Hypertech and Predator units are supposed to be pretty good since you can remove the programs when you take your truck in for service. I hear The Edge with Juice is the hot tip, but it'll void your warranty. Is propane injection worth it?

Thanks in advance.

as of right now there are NO aftermarket performance parts for the LBZ. it uses a new computer that tuners have yet decifer. hell they dont even have an exhaust for it yet. give it a few months and the stuff will start coming out. i just got an 06 LBZ CC/LB 3500 dooly. awesome truck.

Actually BullyDog has the Power Pup out for the 06's, and it works very well.

Gale Banks' kid lives around the corner from me, but from what I have heard, Banks has pretty poor customer service. But since I see his son on a daily basis, maybe that won't be a problem for me.

I've read in other posts where the Banks systems just don't put out the power the other systems do. Is there any merit to those claims? All the write ups in magazines and on Trucks on Spike TV, the Banks set ups seem to work pretty good. But I want real world data before I have my warranty voided by installing some go-fast parts on my $40,000+ truck.

Maybe I'd be better off installing a freer flowing air filter, an exhaust system, and a programmer. That way I could just remove the programming prior to taking the truck into the dealer and put it back afterwards.

Any thoughts?

awesome truck, just take a little getting used to with the added width of the DRW's and the fact the truck is almost 25 ft long :)

I put about 100 miles on here last night. It is an amazing truck. I can not believe how quiet this motor is! The power it has is amazing! I do hope the transmission firms up a little bit once it adapts. Make no doubt about it, this truck is HUGE and will definately take some getting used like stated above. I will give a better report on my feeling once I put some more miles on her. My first impressions = WoW! -Mat-

i drove our new ecsb LBZ 6 speed yesterday. that thing is evil. the truck was twisting and howeling through 3rd gear and jumped straight up to 60.

I picked up my LBZ on Friday and it is the most bad ass truck I have ever driven! Its a 4x4 Crew Cab. I am very impressed with the power and it pulled teh GTO like it was nothing and I never went above 1/4throttle! No telling what 3/4throttle feels like!
