Well, about 2 months ago, I was having a little too much fun in the L, and this happened: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=235508&highlight=motor+carnage

Needless to say, it has been the shittiest 2 months of my life :(

But someone hooked me up with a new motor for her. Here are the basics on the motor: 2003 PI Stock Heads, Ford Racing High Volume Oil Pump 80 PSI, Forged Mahle Pistons .20 over, Mod Max 4030 Balanced forged H beams rods, Polished Lightning Crank, Moroso 10 qt oil pan, New timing chains and gears, Multi Layer steel head gaskets, Crank windage scraper, Arp rod bolts, New bearings, rings ect..

Here are a couple of pics:

I was also wondering if there are any little things I should do before I put the new motor in? I am going to give the I/C a nice cleaning, but what else can I do to her while she's apart? Thanks a lot guys! :headbang:

It looks good man, glad to see you can get it up and running again. I hope you didn't have to get rid of the 450R for it.

Thanks guys. Tan, I didn't have to get rid of the R. Am actually getting it ready for ice racing, but it's been so warm the last 2 weeks all of the races have been cancelled. Only about 8 inches if ice on the water.

What about a ported lower intake??

It should run like a beast, can't wait to hear more once it gets droped in :hail:

BC Lightning: I would LOVE to do a H/C package with a KB, but two weeks after I had blew her up, I had gotten permanently laid off from my job. I am just trying to do what I can to get her runnin again. All I can afford to do right now is get my eaton ported, and get a 6lb lower. I am just shooting for around 430 at the wheels. Once I get another job, and get back up on my feet, I am going to try and build my original motor with a H/C package and a KB.

hey man sounds like you got plans for the L, nice to see someone not just walk away from the project.
