Default 3 piece engine covers

I was wondering how much are they? Any hookups on them? Best place to buy?

Even better. ($90) I see that it says it only fits 2001 and up, 5.3 and 6.0. Is that true? If so why is that? I thought the intakes were all the same.

Its the valve covers that are the problem. Older ones dont have the cover mounts on them.

Damn, I wish I would have known that before I ordered them. I paid $92, btw. Is there any way I can make these work, aside from swapping over to the new valve covers? I guess I won't know until I get them in, eh?

Ok! I have a 03 5.3 motor with the 2000 4.8 intake manifolds on. (emission reasons) I have the 03 vavle covers on it. I was scard for a minute. Thanks for the info. Bryan. Slowprocess, If you have any issues I have a set of valve covers you can use. from an 03 6.0 siting in my garage.

Are the actual valve cover themselves differant or are there just mounts that bolt on to the valve covers that I could buy? To make the 3 piece covers work on a 01' 5.3
