In this thread there a quite a few guys that have expressed interest in wanting a TB converter can any of the sponsors give us a good price on the TB converters. Dacco sells them for mid 200s can this price be beat if say 10 orders at atleast were filled?

futur project like I said this truck will eventually be sitting on 40s or larger a damn 3200 stall is not going to be ideal.:P

Yea, I think Dacco sells them for about $175 (or whatever AP said), but GM parts direct has a core charge. If Im not mistaken, the dacco's are sold outright. :judge:

Besides dropping the tranny its not bad at all :jest: The transfer case is a bitch, but I think its worth it. :drive:

cost on a tb converter from gm is like 187. the cheapest i can get it is 10% over cost so it looks like the only real bet is to get a gm dealer to step up and do it for everybody

If we dont get word by tomorrow I am gonna go ahead and order mine at our local dealer.

I will call a friend who is a service manager at the local dealership and see what he says. Should I say like 15 of them or what?

XLR8NSS PMed me back and said that he is going to try and work somethin gout with SDPC and will get back to us early next week. He wants one too and will get in on the deal so just hold off a couple of days if you are thinking about buying one soon we may jsut be able to get a decent price on them especially if we can get 20 or so orders for them. This thread has only been up for like a day and already there are 10+ orders easily in this thread. There will be more to jump on this Im sure if we can really get something going and a price on them for certain number of orders filled.

well, I talkedto my guy at the dealership and the best they can do is $260 a piece, which it $100 off of the list price.

I think GM parts direct will be everyones best bet at $187.06....

It's either of these part numbers Kris or maybe a combination of the two. The 04 evidently stalls a little higher than the 05 model so I'm sure some guys will want different ones. :)

For what it's worth. I got my TB converter installed this week and my opinion is that it's the best money I've spent todate.
