Also he said it would sound like crap at idel because I have the 2 cats with the O2 sensor in. mrtruckin 12-24-2005, 07:28 PM true duals, i put magnaflow dualls on my 02 f150 new head pipes with there performance cats side exit. i have a chip in the computer and other mods , but it will not void your warrenty if done properly. it will perform better, i sugest you get a power programer of some type killerstrip 12-29-2005, 06:10 PM true it will not void work for ford one92rs 01-02-2006, 06:27 PM i think it will void the warranty on the y pipe assembly that holds the cats. if the cats have a problem or the 02's and they see the y pipe has been altered then they will tell you that they do not have to fix it. other than that it should not void the whole warranty. but i do think that they will argue with you on any engine issues after doing that. i want to do my 04 like that. L33Z71 01-04-2006, 12:34 PM Well, technically from what I understand, any modifications will not void warranty unless it can be proven that the modification is the cause of the problem itself. However, dealerships will most likely give you a hard time about it, and unless your really willing to push it and challenge their decision to fight the warranty void, then thats kind of a moot point. I took my 04 GMC in with long tubes, true duals, cam, tranny work, full list of bolt-ons in to a dealership and they didn't even question anything, but I would say that most would not be that forgiving. By the way. Lance, how ya been? Haven't heard from ya in a while. greyghost4x4 01-05-2006, 01:49 PM it will not void any drivetrain warranty.... just the warranty on the stock exhaust..... o2's, y-pipe and muffler will be voided. one92rs 01-18-2006, 07:28 AM im still here. :judge: GoldenVelvet 01-18-2006, 10:36 AM According to the Magnuson-Moss act of 1975 which went all the way to the Supreme Court. You can do what ever you want to your vehicle as long as what you did, didnt cause the problem. Legal mumbo-jumbo (http://www.riceintegration.com/moss.htm) |
