ok...cause in about 6mo I am planning on taking my truck to the track with the goal of being the first stock long block 5.3 in the low 11's and hopefully 10's...wanted to make sure it hasnt been done (trust me I plan on leaving the track with a blowed up truck)

Flyer had a cam in his though missed the part on the cam. Would be better off throwing a cam in it. IMO you wont hit 10s or even low 11s on a stock cam just not enough lift or duration to make the kind of power you are going to need.

You'll need to make a lot of power though to be sure. Let's see if i can get a ballpark.
If an A4 LS1 equipped F-body can get into the 10s with let's say, 500hp to the ground, which makes sense, that means it must be making ~630hp at the crank with 20% drivetrain loss. This is with a race weight of ~3800lbs.
So for a truck with a race weight of let's say 5000lbs, with a 4l60e transmission, you would need to make ~828hp at the crank.
This isn't a fullproof equation, but it's pretty close, just multiply the weight of your truck by 0.1657895 and you'll get the crank horsepower you'll need.
Keep in mind this doesn't factor in aerodynamics, 60ft times, traction, powerband, or anything of actual consequence.
Good luck!

I NEED TO PUT THE TRUCK ON A DIET AND I'LL BE LOW THIRTEENS FOR SURE !!!
