I am graduating from Arizona State University at the end of this week with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am looking for automotive-related jobs in California, Arizona, and Colorado. My website hasn't been updated in awhile, but I did recently complete a 3-link rear suspension on my El Camino in addition to nearly completing the restoration on the same car. Good luck getting a decent Automotive job in AZ. If you like proving ground work, you could get lucky but not with GM. Their facility is on the out and out. :(

Yeah, I was out to GM's facility a couple of weeks ago for my 3-link project. Nice place, but nothing going on. At least I'll have time to make phone calls now that classes are over.

Best of luck to you man, but if you don't get an automotive job right away don't sweat it. Especially production automobiles for the big 3. I graduated from the U of A in May and only 2 of us AME kids got automotive jobs. One was with Bosch in Japan, so it helped he was Japanese. If you don't mind working for a Japanese auto manufacturer then I suggest that'd be the place to try. They're doing very well and a few of them have proving grounds in AZ. Remember the first job to get is the hardest! Your resume will play a big role in getting the job too. Since you'll be applying to places out of state/town, that's the only thing they have to go by.
