The d3's are solid subs... Most people i know that run diamond subs also run their amps.. Diamond Audio is a great company.. solid stuff all the way around...

The D3s work pretty well for the price. I'm tossed up between them and the older JL W0s but for sound quality I would lean towrds the D3s. We used to sell a dual 10 or 12" bandpass box from Q-Logic with the D3s in it and that thing pounded like a **** for such a cheap setup.

I used the D6 subs in my Trans am and will will be installing 1 D612 in my Prius with the D3600.1 amp. Great combo.

In the Z71 I'm installing 2 D9 10s with the D61500.1. Well, after I get the truck back form the mechanic shop. LOL

I love Diamond stuff

Cool I ended up getting 2 D3 10'' subs and a D3 amp. My mom got them for me for christmas. I wanted her to give em to me early but she said I could only have 1 sub now so I could have something underr the tree. So anyhow I modified my old box from my xtant(which was blown) so it would fit the deeper D3 and I hooked it up to my jbl amp and it sounds pretty damn good, a lot better than my old one ever did. Now I just cant wait for christmas!!! I am gonna have a guy build me a custom box for under the back seat he is an installer at Car Toys but he lives by my dad, is $180 a good price for it?

I have been running Diamond Audio components and subs and amps for about 2 years now. I defenitily would choose them over JL, Kicker,Pioneer. Very solid and durable plus you can crank the **** out of them. Just like Extendocab said it is all about the box. If you have the wrong box they will sound like ****. I have there custom vented box and it made a huge difference in sound. Any way good luck with them

Yea man I have 2 D3 12's with the Diamond box and a solid 1500watt amp with 2 50 Amp fuses plenty of power solid products like a lot of the other people have said the box is the most important thing, make sure its solid or it could brake on you.

if your gonna spend that on a custom box just go get the Diamond brand box the port goes way further than most ports and its around 150$ instead of 180$ just a suggestion before you go out and buy a custom box.

Image Dynamics ID10 D2/D4 V.3 is the same price as the D3, more handling power, twice the reliability, and three times the sound quality. I really don't mean to sound like a negative *******, but you shouldn't have jumped into the buy. RE, FI, Image Dynamics, Focal, Sundown, and others make subs that have such higher quality for the same price. Mainstream brands (like Diamond or Kicker), will probably satisfy your needs, but you can have much better. It's kind of like saying 500 h.p. will satisfy your needs, but why not have 700 h.p. for the same price, with the same gas mileage, more streetability, and more reliability?
