just some questions-
Im swapping to an LS1
will the patriot exhaust headers for s10 v8 swap work fine on my 2002 blazer?
for the fuel system do i need bigger fuel lines?
do i need the 2.8L frame mounts because i have a 4.3L?
where did you guys mount the ECU?
will the stock ls1 wiring harness work w/ my stock 4l60e?
Rate this swap on diffculty using a 1 to 10 scale. 1 being easiest, 10 being hardest.
Does anyone have any pictures of there ls1 swap?
Will i need a different torque converter to mate the Ls1 to the 4l60e?
Are you happy with the outcome?

You will need a trans from a LS1 type motor to start with. As it has a different bellhousing, imput shaft and converter.
Yes you need 2.8l frame mounts.
Its a challenging swap for a novice for sure.
If using the truck pan you need to notch the crossmember.
Mount the computer in the stock location and get a custom harness from current performance.
Headers may not fit as your body is 1" higher from the frame on a blazer then a s-10.
I am making a set of headers right now for mine. Its a tight fit for sure. I am doing 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" stepped headers the primaries vary from 31 1/2" to 32" in length. I have SPD slip on merge collectors.
You need to go with a electric fan.
Vette accesories make life easier. More clearence up front.
YOur stock fuel lines are good for the job. Just put a Walbro pump in the tank.
If the headers you want to get are shorties do not even bother as they would be no better then manifolds.
Long tubes or nothing there.
Brake booster to coil pack clearence will be extremely tight. Cannot run them on the back two on S-10's.
I am remote mounting mine.
You will be happy with the power when its all said and done though.

Im not familiar with these headers, but I seriously doubt they will work. The SB heads have different placement exhaust ports than the LSX motors.
Ive been thinking of doing this same swap, so git R dun :jest: Post pics.

4.8T, Hey man, that link in your sig is like only 2 miles from where I live on Linker mountain. Is that a relatives shop? I'm surfing at work at ANO. And hit the link for the outback. Small world.
