Allgonoshow 11-09-2005, 12:49 PM I stand corrected, they are g60 suspension with front t/bars. The dealer is going to see what he can do for me as for as a lease flip goes, here's hoping.. be nice to have one for the same payment I have now. dave OUT2WIN 11-10-2005, 08:26 PM The VHO and 2wd SS have the exact same suspension. Torsion bars up front and leafs in back. Allgonoshow 11-11-2005, 03:42 PM OUT2WIN.... I like the lowered look. Do you think if I put 2" shackle or hanger kit on the rear and turned down the t/bars about 2" up front this would work without a ride quality issue. would the front fenders clear the front tires. If not, I have 265" on my current truck that may work. I am going to order this truck, none around..gotta be black Only expected mods are lowering, cat back and tune and I may keep it for a long time , I love the look, best on the road. although my 04 is nice I just like the SS, it's nice to have s/thing different. If I keep it , if will go FI sooner than later. Have you done anything with the t/bars, also 3.73 or 4.10's rear disc or drum Dave OUT2WIN 11-11-2005, 08:59 PM OUT2WIN.... I like the lowered look. Do you think if I put 2" shackle or hanger kit on the rear and turned down the t/bars about 2" up front this would work without a ride quality issue. would the front fenders clear the front tires. The fenders will clear the front tires but it will not ride like stock. My dad cranked his torsions about 2" and he lost a little bit of his ride. (not much but its noticeable) Have you done anything with the t/bars, also 3.73 or 4.10's rear disc or drum Dave I haven't messed with my torsion bars yet, my plans are 2" spindle and 1" with the torsions and 2" shackle and 2" drop leafs. I am changing my tires to a 275/45/20 or 295/45/20. The 2wd SS has 3.73s and rear drum. Allgonoshow 11-12-2005, 07:01 AM . ............. budhayes3 11-12-2005, 09:55 AM I think Belltech makes torsion keys to help drop the front also...I think the keys are good for about 2", and maybe another 1" from de-cranking...not sure how many guys have tried this route or how the ride is affected though. kneebuckler345 11-18-2005, 06:09 PM Keys will bring your tortion bar suspension down about an inch with no change to ride charateristics. Go with McGauys they're cut the same as belltechs and have a better powder coating on them for $50 less. If you want 2 inches of drop, belltechs spindles are choice! Combine both for a full 3" drop, with very few complications. You will need to buy new front shocks for your stance. kneebuckler345 11-18-2005, 06:27 PM . ............. Hey allgo is your current truck leased. If so I hope you kept all your stock parts. :burn: does flippin a lease mean trading in your current truck for a new one. Allgonoshow 11-21-2005, 01:09 PM Yep, it's leased, Yes I can put it back to stock easily and sell what doesn't fit the SS. The dealer will sell my truck for the lease buyout and right a new lease. I'm self employed so leasing works for tax purposes. It's no problem swapping out parts once in awhile. dave |
