i know this guy that sayes he runs a 16.4 with hypertech and dynomax true daul. are they really that slow? 2wd ecsb?

I have already tore one up and I'm really slow.

Uhm say a 11 sec 0-60? i would say 17's if not more.

Depends in what vehicle? I have seen Ext Cab trucks with the 4.6 in the low 17's .

a friend has a 97 4.6 ext cab .slow! seems like it is pulling really hard but its not going any where.takes to long to pick up speed.

look they all are not slow i have seen some chevys that are pretty slow myself. i have a 4.6 rc and i raced a 5.3 at the track the other night and beat him. he had an intake exhaust and limited slip. i run 15.7 with just a limited slip and a home made intake so not all are as slow as yall say. i will be in the fourteens by thanksgiving with all motor. will have slip to prove.

I raced a 4.6 EC about a year ago at the track with my dads 02' 5.4 Supercrew (I didn't have my truck then so I was driving the crew :) ). I ran a 16.2 against the 4.6s 17.3. I talked to the guys and all he had on the truck was a Flowmaster.

BTW, I know I could have gotten a 15 secound run but I had a full tank of gas(dad had filled it up that morning :bang: ), spare tire, hitch, tailgate, running boards, and a passanger (~175lbs) that night. :eek2: Mods on the Supercrew were a Superchips programer, dual borla exhaust, and a drop in K&N filter. (Dual borlas now on my truck :devil: ) Best run was a 16.26@85. Tought I would share. :)

my buddys 04 dakota extended cab with a v6 and a system ran 17.8 and we beat this dudes 4.6 extended cab one night the guy spun a lot though . some are bad ass . guy at the detail shop i work at had livewires , k and n intake , dual flows , and it sounded sweet , he hit it leaving and it didnt look like so slouch . but looks can be decieveing
