Well, finally saw an SRT-10 Ram in action at the drag strip Saturday. He was runnin mid 13's all day with no traction, but finally hooked at the end of the day, and made a 12.91 pass. Just thought I'd say hats off to ya guys for havin' some wicked fast trucks :headbang: :hail: He beat me by .07 in the 1/4:bang:

I am actually not sure if it was stock or not. It looked stock under the hood, but in between runs, they had a computer plugged into it messin' around with it.

I know the window sticker says 500/500 but does anybody know what a SRT-10 RC is actually putting to the ground? My next door neighbor has one but I've never been in it when he jumps on it.

Sounds like you need to trade rides in the passenger seat with him....
I'm curious what they dyno as well.

I dont have my stock numbers but after the mods listed are my dyno numbers.
Stock RC's have been posting 420-440HP and 440-470ft lbs range.

I like the SRT-10's since they came out. If I had the extra cash, I would get a RC. If they were AWD, I would have bought one instead of my SS Silverado and saved the time and $$$ it took me to get into the 12's.
FWIW - I have seen RC SRT-10's only do high 13's numerous times at different tracks. Props to this guy for hitting 12's! The SRT-10 is awesome in my book, even if I am a bowtie guy.

Neighbor took his SRT10 RC to the track last night for the 1st time. (1/8 mi.)
The first run wasn't pretty. 11.00. But by the end of the night he had it down to 9.07 @ 77mph. He said it would bog down on takeoff even when he was tach'n up to 5500 at the tree. I think he's dropping the clutch too quick but thats just me. He said the clutch was starting to smell so he quit running after the 5th pass. Just thought I'd post it up. What does that convert to in 1/4 numbers?

I may have a chance against one the way I am if all he ran was a 9.07 I ran an 8.71 spinning last time i was at track. Alot of it depends on track and driver. Ive got to where i can hook the truck out the hole pretty good

I have only been to the track once with mine and only got to do 2 runs. My best run 13.4 (shown in my sig) had a 8.76 1/8.

My buddy raced one here that ran 13.0 or 13.1, I can't remember. My bud said he was a good driver, with practically no tire spin.

I have ran 2 and they both gave me a damn good run for my money... in my GTO! funny thing is usually if I'm even with someone (car, truck) at 60 i really start pulling from then on, but those rams stick with me untill 110-115, and then the bad aero (compared to a car that is) starts catching up with them.
the srt-10 is the truck chevy should have made the SS like. with the ex cab and awd options for the guys that needed it.

Flyinglow has a srt-10 qc with only k&n, borla muffler, computer reflash. He recently went 12.71 @ 108. And that was his first time out. Pretty impressive I think.

JoeBob that's a nice truck and 450R you got there, I think my Z could hang with your 450, but that Lightning is a bit over my head..

what is all done to our Z? Have you seen the new Z450?

Just an HMF Slip-on, I wouldn't have anything else except for the Rossier Full System for $300, that thing is pretty..
I've got Holeshots on the back(wouldn't buy them again), and Tusk Nerfs(honestly the best $100 I've ever spent).
It doesn't have too much in it but I've always thought of it as a factory freak because I've beat 2 slightly modded predators, and a banshee that was fairly modded as well, and I know a Z shouldn't run with those quads..
And yeah, I've seen the 450, I think it's a nice, well designed quad. I'll be sticking with Suzuki for life it looks. I had big plans for the Z but then I got this truck and all of thats changed.

My buddy raced one this weekend that came to town. My friend has 02 Lightning 6lb., JLP Chip, Borla's, Throttle Body, CAI, and he had a passenger. And the boy had a RC SRT-10 Magnoflow exaust and CAI. They raced from 20 mph roll and my friend with the Lightning beat him by whole truck length to 100 mph. Boy with SRT-10 was a pretty good driver and he was startig to catch up on top end but the Lightning killed him down low even though the Lightning spun worse. SRT-10 run real strong on top end is was good race.

i call bullsh_t......jk saw this 2, i dont really care for dodge all that much but the srt-10 isn't quite as "overrated" as i had previously thought. And that is a pretty strong lightning in my opinion for the mod's it has but im partial cuz i know the guy....i just wished a red silverado coulda blown his doors off but who knows maybe i could get my christmas wish this weekend

I have suprised many car/truck owners. Everyone (at least when the SRT-10 came out) thinks these trucks are slow. New inexpensive mods have come out that really wake up these trucks. Plus the QC is a whole lot eaiser to launch. I killed a cobra once, he should have won. But power is no good if you cant get it to the ground.

haha....Red Chevy needs dam transmission, were he want make to big tail of his self when he goes to the track. The Rotten Pair needs to get his stall and shift kit installed were he can go bust off some low 9's. Hey but it was a good race between the Lightly modded Lightning & Srt-10. I will say them SRT-10's really come to life on top end. :guns: :gruffy:
