I just had my 4L65 rebuilt in my Camed 2004 SS Sivlerado by Dave from ROCK-ON Transmission in Denton, TX. It is bad ass. Every gear feels 10 times stronger. the shifts are so fast and it holds up to 800 horse's or more. I put a TCI 3000 stall on it and the launch is outragest!!! My dad wanted me to take him for a spin and he isnt used to fast Trucks, WE did AWD 0-60 in 4 flat and now he is in bed with sickness. ]I have pictures to prove this[/B]. The launch was so hard that he got sea sickness, dizzyness and fatigue. Luckly he recoverd 3 hours latter. Thanks Dave for the bad ass tranny that pulls so hard that it makes people SICK!!! If you have a tricked out ls1 truck or F-body or anthing else, thats the MAN TO SEE!!!! :lurk: :lurk:

That TCI isnt going to last long it is shit. I f'ed mine up with just a bolt on 5.3 with a 100 shot after about 6 months. Just ask Mjhoward how much fun it is to switch out a tc in a 4wd/awd truck I have done it 3 times and he helped me the last time.

i'm lost, how do you have pictures of a 0-60 run? i'm also a bit confused on the trans taking 800hp because the shifts are so fast. even rossler who if i recall has a customer with the quickest 60E pass wouldn't tell you that their 60E is good to 800hp or more.

I dont know of any 4L60E that is good to 800 hp in a 1500 truck. I know the limit for Finish Line Transmission's Level 5 4L65E is like 550 rwhp anything over that and Chuck recommends going to a 4L80E.

First, this is a really old thread fellas.

Second, FLT's L5 can take a bit more than 550 for sure :) BTW, I was at around 800 fwhp -- at least in the ballpark if you agree a 65E and NGV149 = 20-25% loss -- on my aborted run which didn't hit full rpms (sig numbers).
