I have infinity kappas in the doors and pillars. The highs are great but the rest sounds a lil shitty now, since I am workin of the factory h.u still. I have heard pretty good things on the memphis speakers

memphis is good. get their top line though, the lowers lack mid bass. dls r6a or crystal sscs 6. $150 plus shipping. if you know of a set of components that can out do those for the $, let me know. cause i haven't found any. believe me, i have searched and searched. that is why i suggest either of those. those crystals rival my $800 dynaudio's. the crystals have better upper vocals, the dls are stronger on the mid bass 60-80 hz. both kick butt, those are just where one is a little better than the other.

I like Infinity and Polk stuff, but I have Rockford Fosgates in my doors and Pioneers in my B-pillars because they were on sale at the time. They sound good IMO, but my Infinity Basslink really provides my lows for me.

I got Pioneers in my doors because they sounded pretty good considering how cheap they were, and put bass blockers in the rear speakers to balance the sound a little. The Polk and Rockford Fosgate component sets sound pretty good, but to get the best sound out of them you would need a separate 4-channel amp. The built in amp on most HU's just don't seem to make enough power to make them sound clean IMO.

I'm trying to decide on some Rockford Fosgates or the Polk db75's from Crutchfield. I plan on getting a 4 way amp with em...has anyone had any luck with either of them?
