Default Need a fast truck...

I am really getting to the point where I almost need a truck all the time. I definitely love to go fast and there aren't too many trucks that you can do that with. I can't afford to have both my trans am and a truck either. So I guess I am asking what vehicle would be the best of both worlds? I would probably trade the trans am in and wouldn't be able to afford much more than a couple of thousand to finance if needed. I definitely need something with good reliability and alright mileage. I also dont want to have to do a ton of mods to this one. Any suggestions?

Yes, it is completely paid off. Not sure how much I can get for it though. It is in pretty good shape.

trade in on it with 50k is roughly 9300. id say you could get about 10500 for it but i dont know how much they are worth. for 10500 trade you could get a nice 99-02 chevy/gmc truck for about 16000 before you put your trade to it. that 16k is a bit high as you could get one cheaper. like mine i would sale it for about 11k and its a 00 to give you a ballpark

You could try and get a diesel, do a couple things so its got a lot more power. (I'm not big on the diesel thing, banks power and edge is all that comes to mind)

Then theres a silverado 2500 with forced induction.

Thats about all I can think of

Ok I might look into the 99-02 trucks now. Any suggestions on which ones or better? Any links to where I should look?

I wouldn't mind some mods but I guess stock would be alright. So I need to look in the range of 00-02? How much more do extended cabs weigh?
