SES light might come on from time to time while in gear and stopped. But once you get moving again it will go off. Stock misfire threshold is very low. So it picks up every little thing it "thinks" is a misfire. With this condition, the converter may or may not lock up at cruise, due to the misfires logged in the PCM. Once you get the cam in and get ready to tune, you can either increase the misfire sense threshold or turn off the misfire codes completely.

For what its worth, my 212/218 logged all kinds of misfires. Light came on all the time at idle.
