During our little Hurricane evacuation on our trip down we were runing slow and the Chevy 5.3 and my Hemi were getting almost exactly (18 mpg) the same gas milage. However on the way back she was impatient and was running 85 and up my mileage dropped quite a bit, so much so that she was running 1/4 tank left to my full tank of fuel used. I do have to add that at those speeds she was running 2,000 rpm to my 2,700.... gotta get rid of those really short tires....
Just thought you would be curious since we have discussed fuel milage before.. funny in town I always get the better milage but then she drives like a bat... :jest: :jest:

She should have been getting 21 when you werent speeding if she's a 2x4,did you catch the gear ratio.Did your mileage go up with your mods?

She has the 3.55 gearset and 32 inch diameter tires, So she is turning quite the lower rpms and it is a 4X2. I have gained approx. 3 mpg with my mods. I still have a bit too steep a gear ratio for extended hiway speeds.
I do not have an exact MPG on the Chevy as she did not keep accurate records but I figure a little in excess of 20 mpg.
