havent ran mine yet. but after i install my cam and stuff i might go if they are still open. might go before than to see what it runs now...than see what it runs after

Before I did the 6.0L swap....I had the 4.8L, superchips tuner, borla exhaust, and airaid intake(damn...always forget about the throttlebody spacer :hail: ). Best I ever got out of it was a 15.4.

14.4-14.2 if it hooks and if the weather is decent. Those gears and a stall that large... might be tricky to hook w/... are you running slicks or some type of suspension mod (caltracs)... sorry for the thread hijack notahemi :)

Before the 6.0L i had the 4.8L with a hpp3 and a flowmaster and was running 15.5's

Ok sorry for the ignorance on my part but, i take it, theres alot of swaps going on with these engines, such as ppl that have 4.8s,5.3s,swap out for 6.0s? I think you guys can run interchangable parts on all the engines you got right? Is that why you guys can run different engines but same computers i guess, like the member posted earlier about him having a 6.0 but running a 4.8 computer. Sorry again, just trying to get back to understanding u guys engines. Been along time since i had a chevy. Had a fox body before, then a 2000 fbody camaro.

15.244@90.985 mph! with hpp3, efans, k&n filter, and a magnaflow muffler. I know i could drop that 15.2, to a 15.1 or 15.0 because the spark plugs were messed up!

I ran a 14.65@91mph.. was my best.. mods are in sig

'01 RCSB 4.8 here that ran a 15.0@89MPH with HPP3, K&N Intake, 4.10's, Eaton posi and Flowmaster muffler. This was at sea level and about 77*F.

actually... the pcms can be reprogrammed easily by use of hptunes, efilive, ls1edit, etc etc and by doing so, one can still run a "4.8" pcm but it is probably tuned to "6.0" standards. And yes, most of the motor parts and some driveline stuff is identical for each size engine (4.8, 5.3, 6.0)... thts a big reason why so many companys have so much to offer the aftermarket crowd as of now.

All of my accessories on my 6.0L came off of my 4.8L. It is a direct swap and goes completely unnoticed under the hood.....except for the lope it has at idle. It's fun getting beat by some guys in January running a 15.4, then coming back after them in October running a 12.50 with what appears to be only bolt ons. :devil:

I havnt been to the track (at least not to race) in about two years. But, with my new stuff I should:

be in the mid 14's off nitrous

be 13 flat to high 12's with nitrous.

look at the fastest truck list..
it will give you what you can expect from a heavy moddified N/A 4.8L
to a 4.8L with nothing...
to a 4.8L running a blower, or nitrous..
diffrent settup diffrent lists...
and its allright there at the touch of your mouse..... click away :D

He was referring to me. Most of my 4.8 program is still runinng the 6.0. Just haven't really had a chance to do an all out 6.0 tune.

i took mine to the track with just a muffler and ran 16.0's all night long, it seemed to be a bad night for everybody there (heat, humidity), i probably could have landed a 15.9 or even 15.8 if i had done everything perfectly, and i could have gotten those times easily on a cooler night. i was getting 2.4 60', and trapping at about 88.4-88.8. other than the muffler im bone stock, and have 3.42 gears
