well you can find a newer longblock on e-bay or on parts.com for around 3,000 or a older one for about 1,000, but what are you going to do about a tranny? dont use the 60e it wont last

Mileage determines cost if you are talking used. The LQ4(low compression) ones runs between 1200 on up to 2200 for the most part depending upon mileage. The LQ9(high compression) usually in my experience start at about 1400 and go up to 2500 or so. You can get one brand new for about 4000. My lq4 was 700 shipped to my door but it has two burnt piston rings and it is just a shortblock with heads but Im building a 408 sop it doesn’t matter. I would say for a 25,000 mile lq4 youe could pick it up for 1400 or so. What kind of motor(lq4 or lq9) and what kind of mileage or new or used and I can give you a better idea.

I paid $1000 for a complete LQ4. Water pump to flexplate, intake to oil pan.

For an LQ9 ready to drop in with equal or lower miles is going to be close to two grand. If you cant find any locally I may be able to help you.
