Default How to wake up '93 TBI 350??

I have a 93 Z71 that I'm putting a new bottom end in. While I have it apart, is there anything I can do cheaply to wake this terd up? I'm gonna bolt some headers on it, get rid of the EGR setup, and do an open 14" air filter setup. I also port matched the intake to the heads when it was apart. Is there any free mods for this motor that I could do before I put it back in? Thanks.

The 454 throttle bodies are ,much bigger and better flowing. I also used a pretty healthy cam in one and was able to make it idle good with a adjustable MAP sensor. Turbo city has some good stuff. The bowl that goes under the air cleaner is good, the injector spacer smoothes it out some, there is a lot of stuff. You would be suprised how far you can take a TBI.

I dunno about free mods but you could have changed heads and intake to later style vortec heads and intake. The heads are like 400 450 a pair. Just with them bolted on you would see an easey 35-40 hp over stock then you could ad a nice cam to flow with the new heads and intak. That would probably be good for about 310 hp or more.Just my 02

Yahh, I would have loved to do that while it was apart, but I blew too much cash this year on my car, and just want to get my truck running cheaply for the winter. I bought a used long block with 85,000 miles on it from a 95 for 200 bucks and spent another 100 bucks on miscellaneous stuff, and I'm not looking to spend much more than that. Thanks for the info though, maybe I'll do that some time down the road.

Years ago I did a 95 Tahoe(ran it for a couple years),did trickflow heads gold crane rockers custom ground 220/480 roller and a custom tune eprom,JBA headers gibson catback, prefect driveability great TQ.But really didnt have much more than a good running 5.7 vortec with bolt-ons.Bang for the buck go with a very mild cam and a performance chip.
