I have an 87 s10 with a 350 crate engine. The problems seem to never end with this thing. It runs good for a week after I change the plugs then back to crap. I assume the carb is too rich and fouling out the plugs but i took it to a mechanic and they supposedly set the carb. Anyway, I wanted to post about a loss I had friday night while cruising. A neon srt4 pulled up beside me and asked if i "wanted to play" I asked what he had done and his response was "mopar stage 2" I said okay should be close. We stopped in the open road and he said to go when i was ready. I told him to so he did. He jumped a half length so i punched it, big mistake. I peeled through first and second and somehow held within that same half length of him until we shut it down. I need some new tires and to figure out what is wrong with my truck.

I have replaced plugs, ignition, set timing, changed gas lines, fuel pump, rewired everything. The list goes on much longer.

post this in the gm engine and exhaust section, you will have a lot more responses there.

Well, from what I've heard the SRT-4's are kinda quick. It's amazing how new technology in a much smaller engine can keep up with something like an old school 350. Looks like you just need to figure out how to get the power to the ground... and I got nothin for your timing issue honestly lol.
