Default 2005 "Smokin Asphalt" SSR 6 Speed

Here is my new SSR which is at Magnuson Products with Brian right now getting the Polished Radix installed. I cannt wait to see how this turns out, the LS2 is already a very strong engine at 390HP/400TQ. They will be doing a before and after dyno run with it. I will have to find a drag strip close by now that Carlsbad Dragway is gone to the developers (3 miles from my house). Here are a few pictures of it before I dropped it off.

When do you expect to have the before/after dyno #'s? And of course pics.

I just dropped it off friday. I should have it back in 10 days, I am on the edge of my seat. Maybe Brian can chime in. They say the 6 speed LS2 SSR's will do 0-60 in 5.2 and the 1/4 in 13.89 stock.

The 6 speed was released November of last year for the 2005 model year SSR and mine was made in December of 2004. It sat on a lot down in San Diego for 271 days before I purchased it 01 August this year. I test drove the Automatic first and didnt like it, I love to shift gears. The 6 speed really wakes up the LS2, this engine feels great in the mid to high rpm range. The 6 speed also comes with the 14 bolt, Eaton locked, 9.5" ring gear rear axle which is huge.

Damn....that's bone stock? How much boost could you run on the LS2, in such a heavy vehicle? Are you guys going to have to retard the crap out of the timing? I bet it still makes 450rwhp....easy.

I will really need to get the weight of it once I get it back (it is supposed to be 4750 pounds). That is bone stock with about 1,400 miles on it - I didnt expect it to be that good.
