"The Titan CORR Pro-2 entry features a 715-horsepower, 5.6-liter V8 stock block engine with 510 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm, redlining at 8,200 rpm. Unlike many race engines, the block, cylinder heads, cam covers, water pump, main bearings, rod bearings, and ignition coils are all stock Titan components. The engine was prepared by Menards Engine Development." 4.8PWR 09-06-2005, 03:50 PM If I was in the market for a new truck right now, I'd definately have to look at the Nissans. I looked at them when the first came out and was impressed with them then. I like all the features the come with. (ex. spray in bedliner, toolbox built into bed, rail system in bed, even a power outlet in the bed.) Plus I believe they've got a nice strong motor, though I've never driven one. XLR8NSS 09-06-2005, 06:17 PM ain't 510tq a little low? That's just the nature of a high revving(relative term) naturally aspirated engine. the head - When are you putting one in your truck? :D 02sierraz71_5.3 09-06-2005, 06:23 PM That's just the nature of a high revving(relative term) naturally aspirated engine. the head - When are you putting one in your truck? :D so they are getting 710/510 from a 5.6 with no head work and no forced induction and its still at the stock cubes? I dont get it four cams and bolt ons cant make that much of a difference, maybe Im missing something here. If they are getting that much out of an NA 5.6 with minimal work, sign me up Ill take 3. The heads and other engine components may be stock pieces but, are FAR from stock. You can port/weld/reshape a stock head until it doesn't resemble a stock head on the inside and still call it stock. ;) No one should be fooled by the use of the word "stock". That engine is a flat out purpose built race engine using modified "stock" components. BlownChevy 09-07-2005, 02:03 PM now put a blower on it!!! That thing is awsome N/A!! the head 09-07-2005, 06:37 PM the head - When are you putting one in your truck? :D As soon as I can match 6 numbers on this little piece of paper... |
