Are regular 360 headsd any different from R/T heads?

These days the R/T package is mostly apperance but it will usually have the large or higher perf engine. late model 5.2 and 5.9 heads are the same even though the cast #'s are different the port configuration and valve sizes are identical. Some early model 5.9's had larger ports and valves on the High perf models.

The dakota r/t heads are the same as the heads that came on Rams and Ram vans, same as on any 5.2 or 5.9L magnum motor. The mopar performance R/T heads however are quite a bit better.

I hate to sound like a complete ass, but you are wrong on all counts. The R/T Dakotas had no performance advantage at all, ever, over any of the other 5.9 trucks or vans. The engines were identical every single year. Its a huge misconception that R/T trucks had R/T heads. And I hate to hear of people scourging wrecking yards looking for the ellusive wrecked R/T Dakota to get the heads off of it.

Uh, did you even read my post???? Hmmm Perhaps I was not clear, The Earlier PRE-Magnum heads did have differences in valve and port sizes. ALL of the late Magnum heads are the same...

Yes, I did read your post. This was a discussion about Magnum heads, so I assumed as such. I now agree with your post on the pre-mag stuff.
