did that drop down into first at 40mph and then shift into second at 60mph? Is that typical of the 80E, my 60E will only drop down into first from 35mph and shift into second at 50mph. Are you running more boost now, the race vid said 7psi, that setup has a lot left in it, looks like fun.

Yep dropped to 1st. We have it tuned to shift at 6k right now. It was shifting 1-2 at 6700 rpm which is 67 mph when shifting 1-2. It will drop into 1st all the way up to 48 mph. 1st gear with the 4l80e seems to last forever compared to the 4l60e. It is a dog off the line with the stock converter. That will change soon with the new stall. Hopefully the 5.7 will be going in by the 1st of oct. Currently the boost is at about 7.5 psi. If I did'nt have to work out off the truck everyday I would turn the boost up to 10 lbs and see what it would do. It suprises a lot of people.

It takes me about 2 1/2 hours to get there. The drive is worth it, because you get 15-20 passes easy. More if you want. Yeah that was Justin aka Yellow. He's from N.C. He goes to school in Gainesville. The times are slower by about 1/2 a second since the tranny swap and stock stall. It does trap higher though.

Justin sold his Whipple to Matt. Don't believe I've met Spencer. I'm planning on going to the f-body shootout in Sept. You should try to go then.

The 1-2 shift is a big plus with the 4l80e. T.M. was deleted a long time ago.

Im pretty sure I will have it done in about 2-3 weeks I really only need my injectors I have everthing else. I might have to pull my motor back out cause Im having some oil pressure issues. I think it might be my cam bearings going out but not sure. :eyes: Ill let you know when I get it done.
